Meteor T7 joining Airbase fleet

Between 11:00 and 12:00  today, a Gloster Meteor T7 is due to arrive at Coventry to join the Airbase fleet. Airbase have a large collection of classic aircraft including 3 Dragon Rapides, a DeHavilland Dove, and many other types like the DC-3. The Airbase is well worth a visit (or multiple visits) and I recommend it.

But anyway, today, the Meteor joins the fleet. The Gloster Meteor was the UK's first jet fighter and led the way for the development of modern fighters. Interestingly, the T7 (a training variant) did not have an ejector seat, which meant it wasn't the safest of fighter aircraft!

I look forward to this new addition, and Airbase are really growing at the moment, taking on lots of old aircraft. Keep up the good work, I say!
